SUMMARY
I would first like to compare this summary to my first drawing class with teacher Grace Park, which I enjoyed. Naturally as an artist I have my set ways in how I interpret what I see and how that ends up on paper as finished art. In my first drawing class, it was taken very serious which in turn made me serious about what I was doing. The main insight that I learned through out the class was that a form can be defined as a shape/shade. Instead of drawing a line to create a form a shape of gradient could do the same. I took this lesson serious but what ever comes natural to me comes first. I have since than have used this style but only in combination with my style, line and shade.
Now on to this class which I have enjoy in different ways. The first day of meditation was great and was saddened to see it stop after that. I though it was a great way to start a class and to focus our minds on drawing. I would have to say that drawing real live models made the class for me. Not the nudity but being able to see first hand what the human body really looks like.
Then to draw what we're seeing, not just a bottle or drapery. I think the hardest part was either drawing the human form as it was or trying to draw in the different parts of the skeleton and muscle. Drawing the skeleton was helpful for a couple of reasons such as defining proportion. Learning and building the muscles on the manikin was ok, the helpful part of this was to being able to figure out where the muscles are, thus drawing the human form anatomically correct. I do think that all these have there importance in the drawing class but I think I would find my end result possible better by just drawing ever minute of class. Drawing for hours can be long and tiring but it's worth it. I think I have progressed in this class on the terms of new insight and knowledge. I think I have developed a worth style of drawing and hope to further it in class as this will probably be the last time I get a chance to draw live models. I will always use my natural instinct in the way I draw, which is line to define proportion and shade to further a realist look. Learning what I have will come in handy when it is approtiet in my style. Using just the new things I have learned weaken I ability to draw because it's like walk again for the first time and in a way that doesn't seem natural to me.
As far as bloging goes I 'm just not the type no pun intended. It might work well for others who have been part of the phone texting generation but not for me. Also It takes too long to compose myself in type, it's been my enemy since I was in first grade. Till this very day, every other word needs to spelled check and again it's just not natural to me. I understand class needs to have outside homework but I thought building muscle was enough. I enjoy drawing in class and see a lot of people struggling because this isn't easy but drawing again and again is the only solution for me. I can learn new techniques but as an artist I think I will stick to my style and continue to draw to get better and progress. I know learning outside of ones box is always beneficial and I will always give full attention to what is being discussed in class but I will not fight nature as it controls my every motion in my life.
In all I enjoy this class and hope to draw as much as I can while I 'm here.

Sony's twirl N' take camera, by the use of spinning or dragging motion of the green wheel generates power for the camera. There's no use for batteries and less damage to the earth. All it takes is 15 seconds of the spin wheel to generate enough power for one shot. It is still a bit primitive but it makes a great solution to the problems of batteries.
I'm guilty of turning on a light or fan and forgetting about it. The most common one is the walk-in closet where often I grab the clothes needed and forget to come back to shut it off. That could easily cost 2 $ a month in wasted electricity. This is a great idea that I would love to have in my whole house and makes complete sense. We can save money and the resourses that we use to make it.

This is my 3rd 30 min. drawing and in my eyes it's the best of all 3. Here I used a lot of shading to add a realist appearance. Again I used darker lines to create depth and lights which really makes it look fleshy and real. I had to watch my proportions so starting with line length helped me find the right distance of her arms in contrast with her upper body. The importance of basic line drawing allowed me to spend more time on shading to make it look realist. This was an easy position to do my self so nearly the whole time I could easily strike this position if I needed help on feeling the position.
This would be my 2nd 30 min. drawing. In this drawing I believe there was more attention to the models muscles. Here I wasn't able to get a structure of the spine because her back was facing me. But understanding that torso in relationship to the shoulders was key in finding the foreshortening. Also i paid attention to dark and light lines to give the model a understanding of distance and lighting. By the lower back you can see the darker line I made. Also by the inner thighs I made my marks darker. I trying to keep you lines light as i could so that the darker lines but appear richer.
This would be my first 3o min. drawing. As far as learning from this class and this drawing there are some key points. One, realizing that it's important to get a basic line drawing to measure out the body's length and proportion. This can really speed up the process of drawing because having the correct proportions allows for less erasing and frustration. Second, understanding the models body form in relationship to your own form. Third, keeping an appropriate distance in relationship to your drawing board, this will allow flowing forms through the shoulder. Fourth, making sure that your drawing board is at a position that has a clear view of the model, this will make the drawing flow quicker.
